Welcome to my loc journey, where beauty and culture come together in perfect harmony! I’m Leila, a licensed cosmetologist specializing in dreadlocks. I created DREADTWISTA from the inspiration I’ve gathered from my friends everywhere.

My journey began in Seattle, WA when I lost one of my best friends to suicide. His passing was a turning point in my life, inspiring me to use my skills to spread positivity and community love through my work, environment, and hair products.

I learned from my sisters with locs while I was in cosmetology school, and have since dedicated myself to the craft. As a Black Filipino and Spanish loctician, I understand the importance of inclusivity and cultural representation in the hair industry. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for all my clients, regardless of their hair type or cultural background.

My goal as a loctician is to help my clients achieve their dream hair and to empower them with the knowledge and tools they need to maintain healthy and beautiful dreadlocks. Whether you are looking to start your loc journey, maintain your existing locs, or explore creative new styles, I am here to help.

As part of my commitment to promoting healthy and beautiful dreadlocks, I use only the highest quality hair products in my work. I also offer a range of hair products that are specially designed for dreadlocks, using natural and organic ingredients that promote healthy hair growth and overall scalp health.
